A stage that fills with water
Salt is an hour and forty minutes with no intermission, performed on a stage that floods to four inches and drains in ninety seconds. Nine acrobats, four musicians, and no words in it at all.
It was made here and it has not been anywhere else. Thursday through Monday, curtain at eight, in a nine-hundred-seat house in the middle of the property.

What happens on stage
The stage floods at the eight-minute mark and stays flooded for most of what follows. Nine acrobats work in four inches of water, on it and under it, with four musicians at the side of the stage playing live for the whole thing.
There is no dialogue and no plot to follow. Children who are old enough to sit still for an hour and forty are generally the best audience in the house.

- Get wet. Not soaked, and not by accident. They are sold knowing it.

- Recommended eight and over. Under two are not admitted, which is about the sound rather than the show.

Before you come
Where to sit
Admission is general and the house opens thirty minutes before curtain. The first four rows get wet, and the best view of the water is from about row eight. The side blocks are closer than the number suggests, because the stage is wide rather than deep.
Latecomers
The stage floods at eight minutes and nobody is seated after that until it drains, which is about twenty minutes in. Come at half past seven.
Canceling
Tickets are refundable until noon on the day of the performance and are transferable to another night in the same season at any time.
Getting in and around
Step-free from the lobby to the rear of the house. Twelve spaces at the back of the stalls take a wheelchair with a companion seat beside each, and they are held rather than sold until a week before. The show has no dialogue, so nothing in it needs captioning. An induction loop covers the whole house.
